Out-of-Network Care and Superbills.
I do not accept health insurance. If you have health insurance, you can check to see if you have an “out-of-network” benefit. Generally an out-of-network benefit is one where the insurance company will reimburse to you the amount that they would have paid an in-network provider.
In order to receive reimbursement from your insurance company, you will need to submit what is termed a “Superbill”. This is a bill that I can provide for you with my credentials, NPI number and the diagnosis coding needed for reimbursement to validate to insurance that you received the care for which you are requesting reimbursement.
Often times, the amount you pay for out-of-network care will count towards your annual deductible. Check with your health insurance to see if this applies to you.
